Another Sold-Out Night at Stack Barbeque Smokehouse

June 5, 2026

Last Friday, Milton Comedy Collective returned to Stack Barbeque Smokehouse in Oakville for another sold-out show, and what a night it was.

One of the things that made this event unique was the layout of the room. Unlike a traditional comedy club where all eyes are focused on a single stage, Stack's setup encouraged the comedians to get creative. Each performer approached the space differently, creating a completely different experience for the audience.

Hosted by Diana Barbosa, the evening featured performances from Will Ennis, Angela Pierias, Trevor Curle, Nat Paul, Madhu Arora, and Ashley Mendes before headliner Paul Marroquin closed out the night with a fantastic set.

Trevor brought the crowd in close, creating an intimate and conversational atmosphere that felt like sharing laughs with an old friend.

Will took audience interaction to the next level by inviting an audience member to join him at the microphone, creating a memorable moment that had the room laughing along.

Ashley turned the entire venue into her stage, doing laps around the room while delivering her set and keeping the audience engaged from every corner.

Nat and Angela each made unforgettable entrances by running through the crowd before taking the stage, immediately bringing energy and excitement into the room.

While the comedy was incredible, one of the highlights came after the show had officially ended. Instead of rushing home, so many audience members stayed behind to chat, laugh, and connect with one another. Those moments remind us why we started Milton Comedy Collective in the first place. We set out to bring great comedy to our communities, but along the way we've discovered that we're also building connections and creating spaces where people can come together.

A special thank you goes out to the members of the Burlington-Oakville-Milton Moms Facebook group and its founder, Nicola Hilds, for spending the evening with us. We were thrilled to have you there and grateful for your support.

We would also like to thank Cody Chenier, our show runner for the evening. Behind every great show is someone making sure everything stays on track, and Cody helped ensure the night ran smoothly from start to finish.

And of course, thank you to Stack Barbeque Smokehouse for being such a fantastic partner. We love working with venues that are willing to try something different and help us create memorable experiences for audiences.

To everyone who attended, shared a post, brought a friend, or supported the show in any way—thank you.

We can't wait to do it again.

A New Chapter for Comedy in Milton: Our First Show and Open Mic at Blenz Coffee

May 26, 2026

On May 26, Milton Comedy Collective launched its first comedy show and open mic at Blenz Coffee in Milton, marking the beginning of an exciting new partnership and a new home for live comedy in our community.

The evening kicked off with a fantastic featured comedy show hosted by Dante, who kept the energy high and the audience engaged throughout the night. The audience was treated to performances from Nicole Rhiannon, Andrew O'Donnell, Jesse Singh, Angela Pierias, and Milton Comedy Collective's own Paul Marroquin before headliner Brendan Greenwood closed out the show with a set that left the crowd wanting more.

Following the show, Ashley Mendes carried on an important Milton comedy tradition by hosting the open mic. Previously, local comics gathered at Ned Devine's to work on new material and connect with fellow performers. While the location may have changed, the spirit of the community remains the same.

One of the highlights of the evening was seeing both new and experienced comics take the stage. At the end of the night, Asif was awarded "Set of the Night," earning the coveted Milton Comedy Collective duck and an invitation to perform on the following month's featured show.

We're incredibly grateful to every comic who signed up, every audience member who came out to support live comedy, and everyone who helped make the evening a success.

Most importantly, thank you to Blenz Coffee for believing in the vision. Their welcoming atmosphere and support for local artists made them the perfect partner for this event.

The success of our first show confirmed what we've believed all along: Milton has an appetite for live comedy and a community that is eager to support local talent.

We can't wait to continue building this partnership with Blenz and bring even more laughter to Milton in the months ahead.

A Sold-Out Night of Laughter in Kitchener

May 02, 2026

There’s something special that happens when the right people come together in the right space…

and that’s exactly what we experienced at our recent show at Counterpoint Brewing Company in Kitchener.

In collaboration with Shocked and Appealed, this night was everything we love about live comedy. A packed room, an electric atmosphere, and a crowd that came ready to laugh from the very first moment.

We’re incredibly grateful to the team at Counterpoint Brewing for welcoming us into their space. From the moment doors opened, their staff made both the performers and the audience feel taken care of. When a venue understands how to support live entertainment, it makes all the difference and this team, of 1, (Thank you Kayla) delivered.

A huge thank you as well to Eric Pillwein for bringing this all together. These kinds of nights don’t happen by accident. They happen because someone cares about the details, the lineup, and the experience from start to finish.

And speaking of lineup… every single member of the Milton Comedy Collective showed up and delivered. This was one of those nights where the momentum just kept building. Big laughs, strong sets, and that feeling in the room where you know something is really working.

Of course, we have to give a special shoutout to Pete, our most enthusiastic audience member of the night. Every show has that one person who lifts the entire room and Pete, you did not disappoint. You were part of what made the night so memorable.

To everyone who came out and filled the room, thank you. Selling out a show is one thing. Creating an unforgettable experience together is something else entirely and that’s what this felt like.

We can’t wait to be back in Kitchener soon.

This is only the beginning.

Sold Out. Upgraded. Sold Out Again

April 13, 2026

What started as “can we sell this out?” turned into… “how many times can we sell this out?”

April 10th was one of those nights you wish you could bottle up.

The Pato Gordo show sold out.
So we moved to a bigger room.
…and then we sold that out too.

Not a bad problem to have.

What made it even better? Seeing fellow comedians come out just to support. That kind of energy matters more than people realize. When comics show up for each other, it raises the whole room.

And speaking of the room… the crowd understood the assignment. They came ready to laugh, stayed fully locked in, and left with smiles, inside jokes, and yes… their very own Pato Gordo.

The show itself? Everyone delivered.

Paul absolutely did not disappoint.
He took us through stories of growing up Peruvian and somehow managed to teach life lessons about why you need to be very careful who you travel with. Equal parts hilarious and “noted for future reference.”

Ashley had one of those sets where you laugh and then go… wait.
Her take on why her youth might not have been as “golden” as she once thought hit in the best way.

Mike had the room locked in with his storytelling, sharing a perspective on the big city that only he could deliver. Let’s just say… his experiences out there hit a little different.

Betsy showed up looking like she owned the place.
Best dressed, sharp as ever, and hosted the night like a queen.

Dante kept it personal and honest, sharing stories from his upbringing that had the crowd laughing while also catching a few people off guard in the best way.

And Cody…
His story about his first time going to emergency had the room hooked from start to finish. Not where anyone expected it to go, and exactly why it worked so well.

And the cherry on top

A huge thank you to our Community Partner, Battlefield Press.

They didn’t just support the event. They helped make the night feel polished and special. From printed materials to stickers for every audience member, they showed up in a big way.

The crowd favourite?
“I support local jokes.”

Same.

Nights like this are exactly why Milton Comedy Collective exists.

Bringing people together, sharing real moments, and turning them into laughter you don’t forget.

And if April 10th proved anything…
this is only the beginning.

We Took MCC to Morning Live

April 2 2026

Very early morning, very worth it. Watch Diana and Paul on Morning Live at CHCH with Emily Vukovic sharing how Milton Comedy Collective came together, why community is at the centre of it all, and what’s coming next. Then scroll down for the full behind-the-scenes story.

Milton Comedy Collective on Morning Live at CHCH

There are early mornings… and then there are really early mornings.
This one was worth it.

The Milton Comedy Collective had the incredible opportunity to be featured on Morning Live, where Diana Barbosa and Paul Marroquin sat down with Emily Vukovic to talk all things comedy, community, and what we’re building right here in Milton.

From the moment we arrived, there was a buzz. It was early, but you wouldn’t know it from us. Ashley Mendes and Mike Fallico came along to support, and the excitement was real. Lots of laughs, lots of behind-the-scenes moments, and yes… lots of photos.

More Than Just a Comedy Show

During the segment, we had the chance to share how Milton Comedy Collective came together and what we stand for.

At our core, we’re about building community through laughter.
That means:

  • Creating shows where audiences feel like guests, not just ticket holders
  • Bringing together a mix of voices, styles, and lived experiences
  • Partnering with local businesses and organizations
  • Making space for both emerging and established comedians

It’s not just about putting on a show. It’s about creating an experience people remember.

A Big Moment for a Growing Community

Being on Morning Live was a big moment for us. Not just because it’s exciting (it is), but because it gave us the chance to highlight something bigger than any one performance.

It gave us a platform to talk about:

  • The growing comedy scene in Milton and surrounding areas
  • The importance of supporting local talent
  • How live events bring people together in a way nothing else quite does

And of course, we were able to share details about our upcoming show and invite people to come be part of it.

What’s Next

We’re just getting started.

If you’ve been to a show, you already know the energy we bring. If you haven’t yet, this is your sign. Come out, bring your friends, and experience what happens when great comics and a great crowd come together.

To everyone who tuned in, supported, and continues to show up for us, thank you. Moments like this remind us why we started.

Bringing people together one laugh at a time  — This is only the beginning

Reliving the laughter: Valentines hangover show!

Our Valentine’s Hangover show on February 19 in Milton was a huge success.
The room was packed, the laughter was nonstop, and the energy was incredible. The clip beside this text captures a moment from the Halton News coverage of the event, highlighting the kind of fun, well-produced comedy experience the Milton Comedy Collective brings to every show.

Valentine’s Hangover: A Night of Big Laughs in Milton

On February 19, the Milton Comedy Collective brought the laughs to Ned Devine’s with our Valentine’s Hangover Show, a night designed to shake off the Valentine’s Day aftermath with great comedy and even better company. The room was packed, the energy was high, and the crowd was ready to laugh.

The evening was hosted by Diana Barbosa, who kept the show moving and the audience warmed up with her sharp observations and playful crowd work. The lineup featured the full Milton Comedy Collective: Ashley Mendes, Paul Marroquin, Dante Williams, and Mike Fallico, each bringing their own unique style and perspective to the stage.

The talented Betsy Dee took the feature spot and delivered a standout set that had the audience fully locked in and laughing throughout.

Closing out the night was our headliner, Cathy Boyd, whose polished storytelling and commanding stage presence brought the show to an unforgettable finish.

A special thank you goes to our Supporting Partner, Keystone Realty Advisors, for helping make the night possible, and to Ned Devine’s for providing the perfect venue for an evening of live comedy.

The Valentine’s Hangover Show was a fantastic reminder of what the Milton Comedy Collective is all about: great comedians, great audiences, and bringing people together one laugh at a time . We can’t wait to do it again.
